Engineered with a blowback operating system, the KP-9 is chambered in 9×19mm, features a 9.25″ barrel, and accepts both 30-round and 10-round Kalashnikov USA™ magazines. The hinged top cover includes a Picatinny rail, while enhanced feed ramps ensure smooth cycling of jacketed hollow point rounds.

Why the KP-9 is So Compact

Unlike traditional AKs that use gas-operation, the KP-9 features a blowback system. Kalashnikov USA replaced the gas piston with a weighted bolt carrier—similar to the telescoping Uzi design—keeping the pistol lightweight and maneuverable while retaining AK heritage.
